Wholesale Policies

By placing a wholesale order, you agree to acknowledge Coupe Ceramics/Emily Criswell as maker in all publications or media sources that the Work may appear in, including online and print. Retailer will acknowledge and co-brand online listings and/or in-store displays to provide information about the Artist to customers. Retailer will tag Artist in social media posts featuring the work, and acknowledge Artist whenever applicable. Due to the handmade nature of the products, slight variations in color, size and shape/style are expected. Each piece is unique and will include the signature or stamp of the maker.

Estimated completion time is 4-8 weeks for most wholesale orders, unless stated otherwise. For holiday ordering, please check in with us to ensure on time delivery. Artist will make every effort to meet agreed upon due dates, but retailers should be aware that we make all of our pieces by hand - it is a slow process and unexpected issues or results can happen from time-to-time, which could result in a delay of finished products. Should actual shipping charges greatly differ from the shipping deposit collected, Artist will charge Retailer for additional costs at the time of shipping.

Either party may terminate by giving 3 days written notice. In the event the order is postponed or terminated at the request of the Retailer, Artist shall have the right to bill for work in process and any associated expenses incurred from the cancellation request. If any additional payment is due, this shall be payable within 7 days of the Retailer's written notification to stop work.

Payment is collected up front unless agreed to otherwise. Retailer shall assume responsibility for all collection of legal fees necessitated by default in payment.

The Retailer and the Artist are independent parties and nothing in this wholesale agreement shall constitute either party as the employer, principal or partner of or joint venture with the other party. Neither the Retailer nor Artist has any authority to assume or create any obligation or liability, either express or implied, on behalf of the other outside of this agreement.

Damages

In the unfortunate instance your items arrive defective or damaged, please email admin@coupeceramics.com within 48 hours of delivery with photos and all relevant information needed for shipping insurance claim. All original packaging must be retained until the claims process is complete. Artist will submit shipping insurance claim, re-make any broken pieces and ship replacements as quickly as possible. This does not include slight imperfections that are characteristic of handmade items.

 

Returns

If Retailer is unsatisfied with any of the finished Work, they shall notify Artist within 3 days of receipt and include specific photos and descriptions. All shipping charges are non-refundable and return shipping costs are at the responsibility of the buyer. Return items must be shipped within 7 days of delivery and must be re-packed and received in re-sellable condition. All returns will be inspected and are subject to a 10% restocking fee. If the return is approved, the refund will be issued in the form of store credit. Custom designs, commissions, sale items, seconds and gift cards are final sale and are not eligible for return.
